Message

The exhibition of “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake Part 1” which started in March 2012 ended successfully in July. After that, the exhibition of “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake Part 2” has newly started in the end of August.
The term of exhibition is about 1 year till the end of September 2013 to tour to all over Japan and foreign countries. In the exhibition Part 2, candidates to ask us to draw paintings of their pets increased double from Part 1 and 90 artists participated in.

There are two objectives for the exhibition of “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake”.
One is to bond hearts of lost pets and surviving pet owners by giving paintings to pet owners who asked us to draw paintings.
There are many pet owners who are blaming themselves that only they were survived, and also there are many pet owners who cannot remember cheerful, alive pets because the dead body found in muddy water was engraved in their mind’s eye.
I assume that lost pets are concerning when their beloved pet owners are suffering from the loss of pets.
I wish to bond those two hearts with my paintings.
The other objective is to bring the message, “Animal life should be equal as human life and animals are treasured members of the family”.
There were many animals who were surely survived if they were human being.
There were many animals who should be saved with one good idea.
I was requested by candidates who asked us to draw paintings in the disaster area as “please bring the message to many people that animals are also treasured members of the family”, “we hope not to repeat such loss of animals and our sadness in the future”.
The fate of animals staying in front of had been determined by an evacuation center and a person to make a decision. I wish that people will reconsider the strange rules such as “Human being can evacuate to safe, high place but animals have to tie at the danger, low place”.
When a person who determines the fate of animals staying in front of him/her makes a decision how to handle such a little life, I hope he/she will remind the exhibition of “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake”.
Nobody can tell when and where the similar disaster occurs in the future.
That’s why I tour many cities other than disaster area.
